TNR Athletes and Families,
I hope you are all doing well and that your school year is off to a great start. We're working hard to get things ready for another great season of Tonka Nordic Racing. Registration is currently open (https://1976a.cf.wordwareinc.com/?p=1959). Please try to register soon so you can be sure that all paperwork/sports physicals/etc are taken care of before the first day of practice. This also helps us get a sense of how many athletes to plan for.
Here are a few key dates to keep in mind for the season:
November 11th - First day of practice and mandatory kickoff meeting from 5:30-7:00 pm.
November 25th & 26th - Uniform distribution. Make sure you are able to attend one of the two dates to get a uniform for the season.
December 8th - Fundraising Card Blitz from 11:30 am-3:00 pm. Participation is mandatory unless you choose the buyout option.
December 18th - Team and Individual Picture Day.
December 28th-30th - Maplelag Training Trip
January 3rd-5th - Mesabi East Invitational for select varsity athletes. If you're planning on racing at Sections this year, try to keep these dates open.
February 18th - Ice Cream Social & Captain Voting Meeting
February 29 - Nordic Season Banquet
We are also going to run a slightly different practice schedule this year. Here's what to plan for:
Monday - 3:00-5:30 pm
Tuesday - 3:00-5:30 pm
Wednesday - No required practice. Shed will be open for waxing.
Thursday - JV1 & JV2 from 3:00-5:30 pm/Varsity from 5:00-7:30 pm
Friday - 3:00-5:30 pm
Saturday - 8:00-10:00 am
