WELCOME TO TNR

About Us

Welcome to Tonka Nordic Racing (TNR)!
TNR is the Minnetonka High School Nordic ski program. The season typically runs from our Kick-Off in November through the State Meet in February. We are an inclusive group of skiers of all levels training and racing in Nordic skiing.

The purpose of this site is to provide skiers, families, and fans with useful information about the Tonka Nordic Ski Team. We will have information on coaching staff, practices, scheduled meets, sign-up links, summer opportunities, and more. During the ski season, the most current information will always be via Coach Kern’s weekly email.

If you would like to be added to the email distribution list please contact Coach Kern at sean.kern@mtka.org.

2023-2024 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

* Nordic Ski Meet Volunteers: We need six volunteers for each meet (3 for girls and 3 for boys) to help with skier warming capes and other tasks. The different sign up slots for girls and boys allow parent volunteers to also watch their skier(s).

* TNR Blitz Fundraiser:  We need 25 parent/guardian drivers on 12/3/23 to transport 2-4 skiers per vehicle through neighborhoods selling discount cards from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The skiers riding with you will be assigned at the event.

* Pasta Parties: We will have 3 pasta parties for the team this season.  The parties will occur in the MHS Cafeteria immediately after practice.  Please signup for one of the following: pasta, salad, bread, desserts or water.  Typically we will be feeding 90 to 100 hungry skiers!

Thank you in advance for helping make this TNR season great! Please email, text or call with questions:
